West Coast guests join the finale
Jay-Z ended his Jay-Z 30 concert series at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, in the Los Angeles area of the United States, with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Too Short among the guests.[1], [2]
The concert took place on 24 October. Too Short performed Blow the Whistle, while Dre and Snoop presented a sequence of West Coast songs. Their segment included The Next Episode, California Love, Nuthin’ But a G Thang and Still D.R.E.[1]
Jay-Z returns to his own catalogue
Jay-Z supplied most of the main programme himself. The set opened with The Watcher 2 and moved through songs including Izzo, Run This Town, Family Feud and Dirt Off Your Shoulder. Later came Never Change, Song Cry, Dead Presidents and Hard Knock Life. After the guests, he returned to 99 Problems and Girls, Girls, Girls.[1]
Encore ends the anniversary programme
Heart of the City and Empire State of Mind came near the end, before the Public Service Announcement interlude and Encore. Earlier stops had different guests: Jazmine Sullivan, Bilal and Roc-A-Fella musicians appeared in Philadelphia. In New York, Alicia Keys, Fat Joe and Jadakiss joined the Yankee Stadium shows; Keys sang Empire State of Mind with Jay-Z.[1]
