Ten tracks complete the announced final album

Ministry released Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery) on 30 October. The band presents it as its final studio album.[1], [2]

The industrial band’s 17th studio album is a ten-song release led by Al Jourgensen, with attacks on the Trump administration and warnings about artificial intelligence. Burned Out, We Hate and Crickets preceded the album as singles.[1]

The album was released through Cleopatra Records. Crickets opens the full collection.[2]

Paul Barker returns for the closing track

The former member Paul Barker appears on We’re Still Here, the closing track. Loaded Radio credits him with bass and programming and identifies it as his first Ministry recording since his departure in 2003. The album’s other players include Monte Pittman, Cesar Soto, Paul D’Amour, John Bechdel and Pepe Clarke Magaña.[2]

The group’s recording history began with With Sympathy, released two years after Ministry formed.[1]

Crickets gives the farewell an industrial opening

Loaded Radio selected Crickets as its song of the week, describing an opening of cricket sounds followed by a guitar riff, drum machine and spoken-word samples. The outlet hears an angry rather than elegiac farewell. Jourgensen had announced the final-album plan during the summer.[2]

Consequence places the release after more than four decades of work combining industrial music with punk, thrash and synth-pop. Its account describes the new songs as politically charged.[1]
