Oberhausen and Milan guest appearances

David Reece, the former vocalist of German metal band Accept, plans to sing with the group again at two European concerts. He announced the appearances in an interview with The Metal Voice’s Jimmy Kay. The guest performances form part of Accept’s fiftieth-anniversary tour.[1], [2]

Reece named November 21 in Oberhausen, Germany, and December 2 in Milan, Italy. He said he would join for a few songs and share the stage with the band’s current singer, Mark Tornillo. Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann is arranging the repertoire, and the number of songs could change.[1]

Hoffmann’s invitation arrived in August

The invitation reached Reece while he was performing at a festival in Bulgaria in August. He initially left a call from an American number unanswered, then found Hoffmann’s email. They subsequently discussed suitable cities. Reece said living in Italy made Milan practical, with Oberhausen confirmed afterward.[1]

Eat the Heat songs stayed in Reece’s concerts

Reece sang on Accept’s 1989 album Eat the Heat after Udo Dirkschneider’s departure. His time with the band ended during the album’s tour; Dirkschneider returned for 1993’s Objection Overruled. Reece said he still performs Hellhammer, X-T-C and Generation Clash at his own shows, occasionally adding D-Train.[1]
