United Arab Emirates diesel rises 13 per cent in September
September prices in the United Arab Emirates put a litre of diesel up 13 per cent at 4.30 dirhams. Fuel prices have tracked refined product markets since deregulation in 2015. The increase is tied to August tension. From 1 September a litre of diesel in Turkey carries 3 lira more special consumption tax and 60 kuruş more value added tax, a combined 3.60 lira. Pump prices, Ekonomim said, were 81.08 lira in Istanbul, 82.20 lira in Ankara and 82.47 lira in Izmir.

The petrol rise is more contained; the mechanism tracks refined products
The rise in petrol is more contained: Super 98 is up 5.5 per cent at 3.80 dirhams, Special 95 up 5.7 per cent at 3.69 dirhams and E-Plus 91 up 5.86 per cent at 3.61 dirhams. Fuel prices in the country have been set against global markets since deregulation in 2015, and the mechanism tracks international refined product markets rather than the crude price on the day. The increase is tied to tension that flared again in August, after crude had given back all of its wartime gains during the July ceasefire.[1]

Filling a 50-litre tank costs about 180 lira more, and a heavy vehicle with a capacity of 1,500 litres pays roughly 5,400 lira more for a full tank.[2]
