Novo Nordisk puts its 2035 pipeline ambition above 150 billion kroner
Novo Nordisk aims to launch more than 5 major products by 2030 and generate over 150 billion Danish kroner in pipeline sales by 2035. The risk-adjusted ambition is not financial guidance. It also plans to scale oral GLP-1 capacity 10 times, reach more than 60 million patients and keep its adjusted operating margin broadly stable over the period.

A pipeline number with a long horizon
Novo Nordisk used its London Capital Markets Day to set a sales ambition for medicines still in development. The Danish drugmaker aims to launch more than 5 major products by 2030 and generate more than 150 billion Danish kroner in pipeline sales by 2035. Both Novo Nordisk and Cinco Días report that central target. The company describes the sales figure as risk-adjusted, so it reflects the chances that individual projects advance and reach patients.[1], [2]
Capacity and patients behind the target
The plan also sets out how Novo Nordisk wants to expand its reach. It aims to enter or complete at least 5 late-stage programmes in obesity and diabetes and at least 5 in other therapy areas. For oral GLP-1 obesity treatments, the company plans capacity that can serve 10 times more people. Its broader goal is to reach more than 60 million patients worldwide by 2030. These are operating ambitions attached to the pipeline number.[1]
Ambition without financial guidance
Novo Nordisk pairs the expansion plan with 2026-2030 revenue growth in line with its industry peers and a broadly stable adjusted operating margin. The company says the ambitions are uncertain and do not constitute financial guidance. It also says the 150 billion kroner total includes assets already in the pipeline. The announcement therefore gives investors measurable product, capacity and reach goals while leaving the timing and contribution of individual medicines unspecified.[1]
