Corpinnat’s grape purchases average €1.02 per kilogram

Corpinnat’s 24 sparkling-wine producers in Spain’s Penedès region collected 10.05 million kilograms of grapes in 2026. Growers received an average purchase price of €1.02 per kilogram, and purchased grapes accounted for nearly half the harvest. The total rose 26 per cent from last year, although five new wineries joined the group, changing the scope of the comparison.

Growers receive an average €1.02 per kilogram

Corpinnat, a collective brand bringing together sparkling-wine producers in Spain’s Penedès region, presented its 2026 harvest results on October 7. Its 24 wineries gathered about 10.05 million kilograms of grapes, and their purchases paid growers an average €1.02 per kilogram. The harvest was described by the group as the earliest in its history.[1], [2]

Purchased grapes supplied 49 per cent of the harvest, with the remaining 51 per cent coming from winery-owned vineyards. The group put the value of purchases from local growers at approximately €4.92 million. Contracts with growers are certified by Bureau Veritas, the inspection and certification company.[1]

Five new wineries change the annual comparison

The precise harvest total was 10,046,562 kilograms, compared with 7,990,320 kilograms in 2025. That represents a 26 per cent increase, but membership grew from 19 wineries to 24. The totals therefore cover different groups of producers. All grapes were organically grown and picked by hand. Average yield was 6,354 kilograms per hectare, within the group’s stated limits.[1]

Pressing yield is set to fall by 2030

Corpinnat approved lowering pressing yield to 60 per cent by 2030. Its representatives said wineries would need more grapes to make the same number of bottles. Local grape varieties already exceeded 92 per cent of the harvest; the group’s eight-year goal is to reach 100 per cent. Xarel·lo, macabeo and parellada together provided 73 per cent of this year’s grapes.[1]
