Gauger and Godsey start new roles on October 26
Sportswear company Lululemon is reorganising its senior team, appointing Maggie Gauger chief product officer and Joseph Godsey chief operating officer. Gauger also becomes president. The appointments take effect on October 26, with the two positions newly created under chief executive Heidi O’Neill. Gauger most recently led the sportswear business Athleta.[1], [2]
Product creation and delivery gain separate leaders
Gauger’s remit brings together design, merchandising, footwear, product innovation and materials science. Existing design and merchandising leaders will report to her. She has more than 28 years’ experience in athletic clothing and footwear, including over two decades at Nike. Godsey joins from Walmart Canada, where he was chief growth officer, following earlier roles at Sam’s Club and adidas.[1]
Godsey will oversee sourcing, production, commercialisation, fulfilment, planning, allocations and sustainability. The company described the changes as intended to strengthen the links between making products and managing operations.[1]
Two departures accompany further executive searches
Brand and product activation chief Nikki Neuburger and supply-chain chief Ted Dagnese will leave on November 6, supporting the transition beforehand. Finance chief Meghan Frank retains her position and will temporarily oversee brand and technology. Recruitment continues for brand, communications, technology and strategy leaders. The strategy role reports to Frank; the communications role reports directly to O’Neill and joins the senior team.[1]
