Fair payments are exempt from the ceiling
Türkiye’s Trade Ministry expanded its Marka and TURQUALITY programmes, which support companies’ overseas branding activities. Participation in Turkish export-product fairs receives support covering 75 per cent of costs. The payments for these fairs are exempt from the applicable support ceiling.[1], [2]
The ministry said the fair measures were intended to increase Turkish brands’ visibility and help promote their products internationally. The amendments to the support circular also cover target-market support periods and the software products eligible for consultancy assistance.[1]
Unused support years can be added once
The programmes offer five years of assistance for each target market. Companies can now add years in which no support payments were made to the end of that period, using the extension once. Software purchased or rented under consultancy assistance must hold the Technological Product Certificate, known as the TÜR Certificate. The ministry said this condition was intended to encourage domestic technology solutions.[1]
Overseas buyers and sales displays enter the programme
Promotional activities that bring foreign buyers and public-institution representatives to Türkiye are also eligible. The ministry aims to let visitors see production facilities, technology and products directly. Assistance further covers brand-specific display spaces at overseas dealers’, representatives’ and distributors’ sales outlets, as part of its stated effort to strengthen international distribution networks and branded exports.[1]
