POLITICO reports that after the last votes were counted, Ulf Kristersson offered his resignation to the speaker and is expected to remain as caretaker until a new government is formed. The Local, citing TT, says the count finished shortly after 13:00 on Thursday and that Kristersson wrote to Speaker Andreas Norlén. He asked to be relieved of his duties as prime minister.[1], [2]
