Trump followed an AI rename poll with an AI Force vow

TechCrunch wrote that President Trump first posted a Truth Social poll on renaming artificial intelligence, then said he was creating an AI Force. The BBC recorded the Force and an unnamed AI tsar without duties or a timetable.

A Saturday post named a Space Force-style unit

The BBC reported that in a Saturday social-media post Trump called AI the next industrial revolution and wrote that his administration will not in any way hinder or stifle its growth. He likened an AI Force to the Space Force created in his first term and said he would soon name an AI tsar, adding that only high I.Q. applicants need apply. He gave no duties or timetable. He branded criticism a hoax and said the existing criminal and civil courts would target bad actors. TechCrunch, covering the same Saturday stream, also recorded the Force vow beside a rename poll rather than a staffing plan.[1], [2]

TechCrunch led with the rename poll

Anthony Ha reported the poll options as Superior Intelligence, Extreme Intelligence and Supreme Intelligence, still open at publication. A later post listed AI-destruction claims among what Trump called Democratic hoaxes. The TechCrunch story did not give duties, staffing or a timetable for the force.[2]

The 25 percent GDP line is the president's claim

The BBC recorded him saying the United States should stay ahead of China and claiming AI could make up as much as 25 percent of US GDP; that figure is the president's claim, not an independent measurement. TechCrunch's rename-poll piece does not restate that GDP share.[1], [2]
