Early access starts after the September announcement
Rozetta, the developer of industrial translation service T-4OO, began early access to a new translation mode on October 5. It supports both directions between Japanese and English. The start follows the company’s September 30 announcement, while the full release is scheduled for October 14. The new mode updates the deliberative translation mode introduced in April.[1], [2]
The workflow aims to remove mandatory checking
Rozetta describes an automated workflow running from the original text to completed output without requiring a human checking stage. An optional display highlights passages that may contain mistranslations. The company’s internal assessment uses manuals translated from Japanese into English, and considers text-to-text output. It excludes both extraction of text from files and reconstruction of page layouts. Rozetta says the assessment does not guarantee quality for every document type and operating condition.[1]
Specialist documents can still need human review
The company acknowledges that pharmaceutical, legal and patent work can retain a requirement for human review. Customers decide which documents to automate and to what extent. Rozetta also plans further testing beyond manuals and work on file extraction and layout reconstruction. Those tasks concern the document-processing stages that its current text assessment does not measure.[1]
