Two festival settings
Sónar’s daytime programme is returning to central Barcelona for the 2027 festival, alongside the first announcement of 30 artists. The return also brings music and Sónar+D into a shared space. Sónar+D covers technological creativity, culture, research and critical thought. The festival describes the move as a renewed connection with the city centre where it began in 1994.[1], [2]
Nights at Fira Gran Via
The night programme is scheduled for June 18 and 19 at Fira Gran Via, with two nights and four stages. The festival says this part will host its biggest artists and shows with more demanding technical requirements. The programme is not yet complete: more than 80 acts and activities are expected across the event, with the first 30 names opening that larger programme.[1]
Albums and DJ sets
Bonobo will bring a new live show for Distance in Static, while Japanese musician Cornelius is announced with Refractions. Tokischa is due to make her festival debut. Carl Cox returns after more than 20 years, and Romy is listed with a DJ set. Chris Liebing and Speedy J appear together as Collabs3000, an improvisational project, alongside other live acts and shared sets.[1]
