A London revenge story
Jason Statham and filmmaker Guy Ritchie are joining forces again for Dogfight, a Netflix revenge action film set in London’s criminal underworld. Statham stars and Ritchie writes and directs. Further plot details have not been disclosed. Production is planned to begin in the UK in early 2027.[1], [2]
Ritchie and Statham also produce
Black Bear Pictures joins Ritchie’s Toff Guy Films and Statham’s Punch Palace Productions on the project. Ritchie and Statham also serve as producers, alongside Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg. The new film follows completion of filming on Viva La Madness, another collaboration between the actor and director. The two projects have separate production schedules, with Dogfight’s shoot still ahead.[1]
A partnership from 1998
Ritchie gave Statham his first screen role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, which was also the director’s feature debut. Their later films together include Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune. With Viva La Madness preceding the new production, Dogfight extends the partnership to a seventh film and takes it back to the city where it began.[1]
