The first high-volume Semi factory opened in Sparks

CNBC reported that on 24 September Tesla opened its first high-volume factory for the heavy-duty Semi in Sparks, Nevada. Semi director Dan Priestley described a plan for 50,000 trucks a year, about 1,000 a week, and more than 3,000 jobs during the ramp. The Verge reported that Tesla showed the Semi at that new Nevada factory. The two reports describe the same opening. CNBC gives the capacity plan in Priestley's account. The Verge writes that the truck was shown at the factory opening and that customers were named. The figure of 50,000 a year is a stated production target, not a count of trucks that left the plant that day.[1], [2]

ZET SCALE picked Tesla for an initial 2,500 Semis

CNBC reported that industry coalition ZET SCALE said it selected Tesla as the primary manufacturer for an initial order of 2,500 Semis. The same coalition said it aims to order more than 10,000 electric trucks from an array of providers. That order and that aim are the coalition's statement as CNBC reported it. Einride said it agreed to order 500 Semis for its fleet. CNBC put that agreement in the same report as the factory opening. The Verge confirms the same delivery subject by writing that customers were named at the opening. The figures of 500 and 2,500 are the announcements CNBC reported.[1], [2]

The capacity plan also includes jobs during the ramp

The plan Priestley described includes more than 3,000 jobs during the ramp. CNBC reported that as part of the factory-opening account. About 1,000 a week is the pace beside the target of 50,000 a year in the same plan. CNBC wrote that Tesla shares are down 16 per cent this year. Einride said it agreed to order 500 Semis for its fleet. The Verge reported that the truck was shown at the new Nevada factory and that customers were named. The capacity figures are targets, not a count of trucks that left that day. Both reports describe the same opening. CNBC wrote that the plant is the first high-volume factory for the heavy-duty truck. The Verge reported that the truck was shown at that same site. The order announcements sit inside the opening report. The stated pace does not count trucks that left the plant that day. The target is not trucks already built.[1], [2]
