Disciplinary board divides 448 betting referrals
The Turkish Football Federation’s Professional Football Disciplinary Board imposed 45-day bans on 147 officials referred over betting. Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan was among those sanctioned. Another 301 people received no punishment. The decisions therefore cover 448 betting referrals, with separate outcomes for those sanctioned and those for whom no penalty was imposed.[1], [2]
Doğan receives the same 45-day sanction
The board issued the rulings at its meeting numbered 16 on 20 October. Doğan’s case appears as decision 424. The sanctioned cases cite article 57/2 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations together with application of article 13. Cuma Kadıoğlu and Selami Fazlıoğlu were also given 45-day bans, appearing as decisions 4 and 5 respectively in the published sequence.[1]
Board finds offence elements absent in unpunished cases
Burak Dogan Aydogan, Hüseyin Gümrükcüler and Ahmet Tuncer were among those referred over betting but given no punishment. The board said the necessary elements of the alleged disciplinary offence were not established in those cases. Yakup Şimşek, Bilal Can, Lezgin Yürekli, Sadık Sana and Mehmet Salih Arzu also appeared among those receiving no penalty. Each person’s outcome was recorded individually in the decision list.[1]
