Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has left hospital and is continuing his recovery at home, according to club sports executive Max Eberl. The coach had been taken to hospital after collapsing while watching a training session involving the German club’s second team last Friday. Eberl said Kompany would rest and continue taking medication. He said the coach would resume his duties only after medical clearance, without giving a date. Assistant coach Aaron Danks also declined to put a timetable on the return. Danks has been handling the team’s preparation and touchline duties during Kompany’s absence. Kompany had earlier missed media commitments before Bayern’s Champions League match against Arsenal during a viral illness, although he was on the touchline for that game.
