Henderson describes a medical emergency
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson said on 6 November that an unexpected medical emergency had involved unexplained neurological symptoms. He underwent extensive testing and evaluation, and described the results as positive and reassuring. He said the cause of the symptoms remained unknown.[1], [2]
Specialists help his recovery
Henderson said the symptoms had affected his strength, coordination and some physical functions. Specialists and physical therapists continue to help him recover. He described regaining full health and protecting his long-term well-being as his priorities. In his social media statement he thanked relatives, teammates, the Patriots organisation and the medical team for their support.[1]
Practice absence began in October
Henderson took part in two practices after the Patriots’ 22 October game against the Chicago Bears. The team added him to its injury report with an illness designation on 29 October, and he has not practised since. He also missed the Miami Dolphins game. The 24-year-old is in his second New England season, having arrived from Ohio State as a second-round pick in the 2025 draft. He played in every regular-season game as a rookie.[1]
