Sam Fender challenges tour prices and separate front-standing tickets

Sam Fender promised to change ticket prices for his 2027 stadium tour after objecting to amounts circulated on social media. The British musician also rejected separate front and rear standing categories. He said price rises should reflect the cost of staging the show. The tour is due to visit six cities in Britain and Ireland.

Fender objects before ticket sales open

Musician Sam Fender said he would change ticket prices for his Proper Massive Stadium Tour after responding to a social media post about the costs. He also opposed separate front-standing tickets for the summer 2027 concerts.[1], [2]

The 32-year-old musician from North Shields had announced the stadium tour earlier in the week. When he challenged the circulated prices, tickets had not yet gone on sale. The planned route takes in Newcastle, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Manchester. A presale was planned for Wednesday.[1]

Price rises should follow show costs, Fender says

Writing on Instagram, Fender said the amounts were much higher than he had intended. He argued that increases should reflect only the cost of staging the show. His message came as a response to the expected prices being circulated, and he told followers he was unhappy with those amounts.[1]

Standing fans should have the same access to the front

Fender said he had not known standing tickets would be divided into separate front and rear categories. He rejected an arrangement that would make fans pay more to stand closer to the stage and said it would not happen on this tour. He also questioned how splitting the standing area in this way had become normal at concerts.[1]
