Hum have announced twelve US concerts for 2027, following their return at the travelling Slide Away festival. The itinerary begins in Atlanta in March and ends in San Francisco in July. The itinerary runs from March to July

Illinois alternative rock band Hum have announced twelve concerts in the United States for 2027. The run opens at The Eastern in Atlanta on March 3 and ends at The Warfield in San Francisco on July 17. It extends the band’s return to live performance after this year’s Slide Away festival appearances, their first shows in nearly seven years.[1], [2]

Support bands change between tour legs

The Life and Times, a band from Kansas City, will accompany every stop. Chicago band Pelican join the East Coast dates, while Brooklyn trio Spotlights appear at the two West Coast shows. The itinerary has several separate runs: Houston, Dallas and Austin follow Atlanta in March; Denver and Kansas City come in April. Philadelphia, Washington, New York and Boston follow in May, with Seattle preceding the San Francisco finale in July.[1]

Gerken returns after the Slide Away shows

Jason Gerken, drummer with the band Shiner, will play with Hum. He also accompanied their 2015 tour and recent Slide Away shows; longtime drummer Bryan St. Pere died in 2021. The festival return included the first live performances of songs from Inlet, released in 2020. Hum’s earlier albums include Electra 2000 from 1993 and You’d Prefer An Astronaut from 1995, followed by Downward Is Heavenward before Inlet.[1]
