Loving, Leaving opens Dog Roses
British band Tindersticks has announced Dog Roses, its fifteenth studio album, for March 12, 2027 through record label City Slang. Loving, Leaving, the opening track, accompanies the announcement as the first single. The eight-song running order continues through Intimacy, Wild Sage and Slow Love, with Flying Cars, Your Children and Tell Me About You preceding the closing title song.[1], [2]
A new room disrupted familiar methods
Stuart Staples handled production and recording for the album between December 2025 and August this year. The group left a studio it had used for about twenty years and moved into an underground space. Staples said the change made familiar recording methods less useful and required new solutions. Describing his writing, he said some passages involved trying to catch fleeting feelings rather than his usual strong sense of time and place.[2]
Guests join the band before European dates
The core musicians are drummer Earl Harvin, bassist Dan McKinna, keyboard player David Boulter and guitarist Neil Fraser. Guests Dave Okumu and Julian Siegel add electric guitar and saxophone respectively, while Lucy Wilkins leads strings on two songs. The accompanying 2027 concert schedule includes multiple nights in Vienna and May dates in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast and Dublin. Spain and Portugal follow in November and December.[2]
