Samsung co-leads Euclyd’s 200 million euro Series A for inference chips

Eindhoven-based Euclyd closed a Series A of more than 200 million euros co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund and Innovation Industries, according to a 15 September PR Newswire. Businesskorea, citing 14 September, puts the round at 200 million euros, 310 billion won or about 230.73 million dollars, and records Bernardo Kastrup’s path to a physical chip system by 2028. Neither text reports commercial validation.

The wire counts the round and co-leads

PR Newswire reported that Eindhoven-based Euclyd signed a Series A of more than 200 million euros. The round is co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund and Innovation Industries. The text also records that Peter Wennink becomes chairman. The item is a company wire; it does not report shipments, revenue or customer counts. For the reader the first result is that the round size in euros and the co-lead list sit on the wire. 200 million appears as 'more than', with no exact closed figure. Businesskorea's won and dollar conversions are absent from this paragraph. The 2028 roadmap is absent too. The wire is dated 15 September.[1]

Seoul adds won and the 2028 path

Businesskorea reported that Samsung Electronics joined Dutch AI-chip startup Euclyd's 200 million euro Series A on 14 September. It put the round at 310 billion won, or about 230.73 million dollars. Somerset Capital Partners, EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund and Innovation Industries also took part. Founded in 2024, Euclyd designs chips for AI inference. CEO Bernardo Kastrup sketched a path to a physical chip system by 2028 and thousands of enterprise customers by 2030. The paper notes the technology has not yet had commercial validation. For the reader the second result is that the same round arrives in won and dollars and with a timetable. Wennink from PR Newswire is absent from this paragraph. 200 million euros is shared.[2]

The same round, two currencies

Both publishers describe the same Series A. PR Newswire counts more than 200 million euros, Samsung as co-lead and Peter Wennink. Businesskorea writes the 14 September date, the 310 billion won and 230.73 million dollars conversions, Kastrup's 2028 path and the lack of commercial validation. The shared event is the round. What splits is who leads with the wire chairman and who leads with the Seoul conversion. The card does not say the chip is selling. For the markets desk the meaning is that Samsung is putting cash into inference silicon outside Nvidia. 200 million sits in both texts; 310 billion won sits only in Businesskorea. The figures do not conflict; the unit and timetable diverge.[1], [2]
