Makhanya equalises with a late header
Rangers drew 2–2 away to Hearts after a late Makhanya equaliser.[1], [2]
Rangers earned a 2–2 draw away to Hearts in Scotland’s top football league after Makhanya scored in the 89th minute. His header struck the post on its way into the net. Hearts had come from behind to lead after halftime, but the late goal divided the points at Tynecastle Park, the home team’s stadium.[1]
Braga and Miller reverse Rangers’ lead
Kevin Kelsy had put Rangers ahead before the interval, finishing a move involving Ryan Naderi after Hearts lost the ball near the penalty area. Claudio Braga equalised soon after the restart. A free-kick from Altena reached Fagan-Walcott, whose header across goal left Braga to finish. Calvin Miller then converted Braga’s pass after Magnusson won a loose ball to start the attack. Hearts led 2–1.[1]
Hearts change personnel before cup semi-final
Hearts goalkeeper Beau Reus saved efforts from Bouanani and Dan Neil as Rangers sought a response. Braga missed a chance to extend the lead before being replaced by JJ Williams in the 77th minute; James Wilson came on for Miller at the same time. Coach Wouter Vrancken had started Miller and Laurent Mendy after the win over Motherwell. Stephen Kingsley was brought on when Mato went off injured. Hearts next face Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.[1]
