The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group puts engineers in client offices

Google Cloud and Accenture have set up the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group, a joint unit that sends forward-deployed engineers into companies to build applications on Gemini Enterprise. The Next Web describes the same unit as a structure that trains up to 1,000 forward-deployed engineers to install Gemini Enterprise inside client companies. Under the deal Google trains up to 1,000 Accenture consultants, and the unit sits inside Accenture.[1], [2]

The Next Web counts this as the fifth on-site bet of the year

The Next Web describes the unit as the fifth version of the same bet this year, after Microsoft, AWS, Anthropic and TCS. The engineers work on-site in client offices to plan and build applications on Google's Gemini Enterprise platform. Neither company disclosed financials; both called it a significant investment. TechCrunch notes that OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft and Amazon have all recently opened comparable deployment units.[2], [1]

Ramp data put Google at 6 percent of enterprise AI spending

Ramp data from August 2026 put Google at about 6 percent of enterprise AI spending among its US customers, against 43.5 percent for Anthropic and 39.7 percent for OpenAI. Google committed 750 million dollars to its partner ecosystem earlier this year. TechCrunch frames the new unit as part of Google's effort to ease deployment bottlenecks and catch up with rivals.[1]
