An expanded group

Dutch Uncles, the art-pop band from Manchester in England, announced Polygon Hotel for 19 February 2027 through Memphis Industries. It is the group’s first album as a six-piece. Longtime collaborators Henry Broadhead, who plays several instruments, and guitarist Neil Wright have become full members. They join singer Duncan Wallis, bassist Robin Richards, guitarist Peter Broadhead and drummer Andrew Proudfoot.[1], [2]

No Note’s subject

The announcement came with the single No Note. Wallis described its subject as regret for time spent looking at a phone and using social media, alongside concern about who controls those platforms. He said the lyrics took five minutes to write. The band handled the album’s production, with mixing by Felix Davis. It follows the 2023 album True Entertainment.[1]

A video and concert dates

Patrick King directed the No Note video, with computer animation by Miles Buckle that recalls the 1990s. The album contains eleven tracks, opening with Outset I and closing with Chosen. Dutch Uncles also announced March concerts in the United Kingdom. The itinerary includes Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle before continuing to Birmingham, London and Leeds, where the announced run ends on 21 March.[1]
