18 stadiums prepare for chip-ball technology
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF), football’s national governing body, has announced procurement of cabling and infrastructure installation at 18 stadiums for chip-ball technology. The work prepares grounds for the system. Companies must submit schedules meeting a delivery target of 15 December. The notice concerns the stadium installations needed for the technology.[1], [2]
Chip-ball systems obtain movement data from sensors inside the ball and can support semi-automated offside decisions when combined with suitable applications. The 18 stadiums are not named in the notice, and a date for the technology to enter match use has not been announced. The work plan must identify staffing and simultaneous activity at individual grounds.[2], [1]
Sealed bids are due on 2 November
Bids are due on Monday, 2 November, at the federation’s purchasing directorate. Companies can deliver them in person or by post to the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva, Istanbul. The submission uses inner and outer envelopes, with the bid letter and provisional guarantee enclosed in a sealed inner envelope.[1]
Companies must supply commercial-registration and signing-authority documents and evidence concerning tax and social-security debts. Their references must identify at least three completed or ongoing projects matching the tender’s work description during the preceding five years. The technical file also includes proposed product brands and models, information sheets and installer qualifications issued by the manufacturer.[1]
Cable tests and guarantees form part of the tender
Example factory test reports are required for fibre, Cat7 and N2XH power cabling. After submitting their envelopes, bidders cannot withdraw or propose changes to their offers. The final guarantee is returned after all work meets the required standard and acceptance procedures have been completed. The federation may cancel the tender or contract process after notifying the bidder.[1]
The provisional guarantee is 5 per cent of the bid and must remain valid until at least 2 December. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee of 10 per cent, either indefinite or valid for at least two years. The federation retains discretion under private-law provisions to evaluate bids and decide whether to conclude a contract.[1]
